After the success of last year's Melbourne training tour, we’re excited to once again offer professional learning opportunities for schools and universities looking to create truly inclusive environments.
Dr Kidd's presentation includes so much and more of what staff need to know and understand about teaching and supporting students with Autism and more specifically PDA. Her examples and explanations are made more specific to the classroom setting and helped our staff gain a much better understanding into the mind and experiences of a student with PDA.

Meet the Presenters
Dr Theresa Kidd
Clinical Director & Clinical Psychologist
Theresa is part of a neurodivergent family including two PDA children (now young adults). She is a clinical psychologist, research fellow and the clinical director of The Kidd Clinic, a private, national psychology group practice focused on Autism, ADHD, and mental health across the lifespan.
Theresa has a background in Disability and Employment, Autism and Education (including home education, 'school can't', and founding a program for Autistic university students), and Autism and mental health. She is committed to helping neurodivergent individuals of all ages to minimise their challenges, harness their strengths and to achieve meaningful life goals.
Melanie Turner
Principal Psychologist, Clinical Operations Lead, Senior Counselling and Clinical Psychologist
Melanie is an experienced Counselling and Clinical Psychologist with 17 years of practice across diverse mental health settings. She has extensive expertise in anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and life transitions.
Passionate about supporting neurodivergent adults and older teens (16+), Melanie specialises in working with late-diagnosed autistic and/or ADHD women, helping them navigate challenges, harness their strengths, and achieve meaningful life goals.
Her career spans clinical and leadership roles in community organisations, custodial settings, universities, and private practice, giving her a well-rounded understanding of diverse support needs.
