We are thrilled to extend our warmest invitation to you for our Annual Christmas Boat Party! We’re setting sail for a memorable evening on the water this year.

This festive occasion is more than just a celebration; it’s a chance for us to come together, reflect on our accomplishments, and strengthen the bonds that make our team exceptional. As we cruise through the evening, we’ll enjoy a delightful array of food, music, and spectacular views, all while basking in the camaraderie that defines The Kidd Clinic. 

This is our chance to unwind, celebrate all our amazing work this year, and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed and joyful setting.

So, grab your holiday spirit and prepare for a fun and festive night! We look forward to seeing you there and making some fantastic memories together.


SECRET SANTA

For the end-of-year event at TKC, we have decided to collect donations for Passages for those who want to donate a Secret Santa gift. If we can, please bring the donations on the day of the event, and Kristy will collect them.  Kristy's partner (Harry) currently works at Passages, so she can validate the amount of work they do and the support they need from the community.

IDEAS FOR DONATIONS

Donations could be almost anything. Recommendations from the company this year are headphones, speakers, art supplies, make-up kits and nail polish, streetwear clothing, and portable charges. If anyone has fewer spoons, Kristy would be happy for you to provide a cash donation instead, and she can arrange a gift. Donations will go directly to the person and will not be sold on/passed on.

BACKGROUND ON PASSAGES FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED

Passages were established as a result of the growing rate of youth homelessness in Western Australia and the need for a unique specialist engagement service. Passages is a Youth Engagement Hub providing a non-judgemental safe space to our community's most marginalised and at-risk young people in Perth and Peel. Young people aged 12 to 25 years old have a safe, friendly, and positive place to access support and referrals to essential services. Passage is often the first step off the street for young people with complex needs. The young people they help are often excluded from other support services and would otherwise have nowhere else to go. They work to build relationships with young people by offering practical assistance and support while identifying longer-term needs and issues. Currently, Passages receives no ongoing government funding and relies heavily on community and corporate donations and specific fundraising events to continue to provide much-needed services. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Arrival

Please arrive at East Street Jetty – Beach Street, East Fremantle, before 4.45pm. 

Boarding

We will be boarding and departing East Street Jetty at 5 pm. 

Food

All food and drinks, including non-alcoholic and dietary options, will be provided. All you have to do is bring your holiday spirit and prepare for a fun and festive night.

Clothing

Dress nice/casual. Please be mindful that you will need to climb ladders and move between different levels, so choose something you’re comfortable in for these transitions.

There is the option to swim if you want so you can bring bathers and a towel. 

Music

There will be music, but we will be in control of the noise and location of the speaker, so we can adjust as needed.

We will be arriving back at the Jetty at 9 pm.

MCLAUGHLIN BOAT 

The front of the boat (see second photo above) will be designated as the chill zone. Please be mindful of your noise levels while in this area to ensure a peaceful time for everyone!

NEED TO GET OFF THE BOAT? 

If someone is sick or wants to get off, that's no problem! There are jetties along the way where it will be possible to get off. Please kindly let a crew member know and they will assist you with the process.
